Sara Yacobi-Harris

Sara Yacobi-Harris is the Director of content and programming at No Silence on Race. She is an educator, multi-disciplinary artist and social entrepreneur. She uses digital content to inspire agents of social change. She teaches about Jewish identity, antisemitism, anti-Black racism, grassroots leadership and community building. Most recently, Sara produced five episodes on a new six part documentary series on the CBC called For the Culture with Amanda Parris. The series explores social issues impacting Black lives globally. She holds a M.Ed from OISE at the University of Toronto and her work has been featured on podcasts and media publications across North America and the middle east.

 

Akilah Allen-Silverstein

Akilah is the Director of Finance and Outreach and No Silence on Race. She is a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Retirement Consultant with Mandeville Private Client. Her practice, Silverstein Wealth, provides holistic financial planning advice encompassing investment management, insurance, strategic tax planning, retirement income solutions and estate planning. 

Akilah is an avid volunteer, she is currently the President of the East York Rotary Club, a local chapter of Rotary International, which focuses on hands on projects and fundraising to support causes such as protecting the environment, food insecurity, and educational programs that aim to end cycles of violence & poverty. 

She is also serving as treasurer on the board of MAiDHouse, a non-profit organization devoted to providing those eligible to receive MAiD with a supportive, inclusive and comfortable setting.

She was formerly on the Birthright Israel Foundation Canada Young Leadership Counsel.
